Kansas Commission Studies DUI Penalties
A collaboration of some of the best minds and perspectives in the state of Kansas has come together with one common goal. To pass a DUI bill that simplifies the process and achieves better results. With this many perspectives it is one common feeling that no matter where the DUI law is heading, it can not be worse that it has been. The commission has the task of reworking the entire law to make it more efficient at every aspect from arrest to post sentence and treatment. The commission has people from every field along the way to give it unique perspective and hopefully not miss any important parts to the process. Chairman Owens has obviously put some great care into getting the right people in this room and we applaud him on his efforts. In the end everyone hopes to accomplish one goal and that is to save lives by eliminating drinking from driving.
